Stillness

Weekend meditation retreats to connect you to who you are when you are not producing. HINT…

You are enough.

You have been trained into a cyclical pattern of being busy, going to work, proving yourself and producing.

Now, imagine if you had a weekend to feel who you would be without all of the societal pressures. Could you be with yourself alone without anything to do and without anywhere to be for two days? What would happen?

One of the greatest benefits of a meditation intensive is to feel the simplicity of your own beauty: your hands, your breath, the weight of your body on the earth. You are simple and beautiful like a stone, a fallen branch, a morning robin or a yellow moon is simple and beautiful.

Things you are guided to explore on this retreat.

  • the body has a right to sit simply on this earth without producing anything

  • when we sit in silence we get a chance to see that our minds are not solid. they are constantly changing.

  • by focusing on one thing like the breath or a sensation or sound we can retrain our minds to focus in this highly distracted world

  • our bodies can begin to soften into gratitude, love and wisdom when we slow down and take a big pause. This can be translated into little pauses throughout the day.

  • Meditation can often be used to bypass emotions and hard issues in life. Sometimes it becomes a place of comfort to hide out of fear of tranformation. Aint nobody got time for that in this chaotic world of stress, dividsion and global warming. We will intentionally discuss how to use meditation and stillness to support you to be fully present in all of life’s challenges.

Every day we will find moments to move from the still and quiet practice of meditation into practices of collective singing, authentic movement and collective wisdom dialogue around whatever is up for healing in the group.
